Hello!

Hi there— I’m Kathleen, a certified end-of-life planner and death doula with a passion for all things death. That might sound morbid, but honestly, since diving headfirst into the world of death work, I’ve never felt so joyful, purposeful and present. It sounds like a paradox, but my firm belief is that when we talk about death, investigate our feelings and plan for end-of-life, we actually can live more joyfully.

I received my death doula certification through the Going with Grace program and have subsequently become NEDA proficient as well as a certified death doula for the American Clinicians Academy on Medical Aid in Dying. I am also a trained hospice volunteer.

I'm passionate about inspiring others to talk about and plan for their deaths. At 32, my wife and I met with an estate planner to organize our plans and wishes for end-of-life. But I know I am an anomaly. Usually this subject is avoided until death is either staring you in the face, or worse, it’s too late. But I want to change that. My hope is that Die All Ready will be more than a service, but that it will become a movement. A shift towards changing the narrative around death. Making it something approachable, no longer taboo or scary.

Let’s make planning for death a normal part of life.

What I Offer

Whether you’re looking to do end-of-life planning, or are in the process of experience a death, here are some of the services I offer:

  • I know death can be an uncomfortable subject to approach and can often feel overwhelming, so if you are interested in learning more about end-of-life planning, what it entails and why it’s so important, I offer a free consultation.

  • This is an opportunity to sit down and have conversations about death and dying and how we can prepare (emotionally, spiritually, logistically and financially) and plan for it. This include discussions on:

    • Wills

    • Trusts

    • Power of Attorney

    • Advanced directives

    • Living Wills

    • Funeral plans

    • Body Dispostion options

    • Life Review

  • First things first, I am NOT a lawyer. But I still remember our first meeting with our estate planner. She was lovely and warm, and then started asking a LOT of questions I wasn’t prepared for. This service is to help you get familiar with the estate planning process and the kinds of questions you’ll need have answers to.
